Hancock Man Held By Police In Shooting Case

Hancock County police arrested Hull, 43, after a shooting near a shack. Yonker suffered head injuries from a metal file blow and ran, later receiving stitches at Washington County Hospital. Three Die In Farmhouse Fire Near Huntingdon Va

In Huntingdon Virginia a farmhouse fire claimed the lives of Ian Fink and his wife Mary age 66 and son Raymond 17. Mrs Fink died after attempting to rescue her family and was found on a road with severe burns. Firefighters recovered the bodies and authorities said Ian and Raymond perished in the blaze near Alexandria about a mile west of Blunt-Hordon.

Three Injured In Three Car Crash On Salem Avenue

Three people were injured in a three car collision on Salem Avenue near West Side Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday. Injured: Otte E Vienna of Pen Mar Pennsylvania with a broken nose and fractured rib. Gwendolyn G Bishop of 395 Brookline Avenue, shock. Vera Wilson of New Kensington Pennsylvania with cuts to head and legs. Otto Vietina, driver of the eastbound car, and Bishop, who left left turn, were charged with reckless driving. Damage to the three cars and a parked vehicle owned by Fred L Rhodes at 81% Frederick Street exceeded $400.

Many Die In Peru Landslide Reportedly

Lima dispatch says a Santa River landslide high in the Andes leaves thirty dead and at least a hundred unaccounted for with twenty eight wounded. Encampment workers near Huallanca City feared missing as rock and mud crushed Los Cedros hydroelectric station after a side of Pikococha lagoon collapsed. Reports say workers warned by telephone might survive.
