Prisoners Denied Release From Pen
Frederick A. Mullens of Washington county, colored, sentenced to three years for false pretenses, denied habeas corpus release in Baltimore Court yesterday. He claims he was kidnapped in Georgia and brought back to face trial. Clyde B. Holbruner, known in Maryland courts for similar efforts, was also denied release in Caroline county. Both men serve three years for false pretenses. Sheriff Joseph D. Baker attended both hearings.
