War Memorial Fund Boost From Community Club
Williamsport Downsville Community Club donated fifty dollars to a war memorial fund at a meeting held in Williamsport High School. Principal speakers were Simon Downey and County Agent Milton D Moore. Downey praised the Washington County Farm Bureau and urged support. Moore outlined Boys and Girls Club work and planned community clubs to raise pure bred cattle hogs poultry and potatoes with local leaders in charge. The club also decided to purchase a car.

New Washington Square M. E. Church Work Starts
A cooperative plan involves salt and weed members to communicate with Cyres Curdiner. Vocal music by local youths. The Washington Square M. E. Church foundation work begins Monday with a full force of men. The old church moved to the rear for use as a Sunday echo room and will be raised over a foot. Parsonage progress includes hardwood floors vapor heating bathroom electric lights and terra cotta trim.
