Baltimore jockey shot himself after rifle test tragedy
Oot 18 Fey Edward Hoskins, a Baltimore jockey, died after a self inflicted wound during a rifle test with groom Wiley Albritton of Hialeah Florida. Police found two notes in his pockets one to his mother and one to his widow Lelita Leggett Hopkins. Hopkins had earlier married the jockey Get 6 and had a troubled history including a prior husband killed at Fairgo track Cumberland. He rode at Laurel and Charles Town tracks and started as an exercise boy at age 13. The Mt Washington summit rises to 6293 feet.
