Jacob McGraw Jr. of Sharpsburg, aged 95, longtime burgess and civic leader, dies after a life filled with service. He served as town official, past master and treasurer of Eureka Lodge Masons, helped form Mountain View Cemetery, and worked on Trinity Lutheran Church and the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. Funeral Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Lutheran Church with burial at Mountain View.

POCOMORE CITY October 14 funeral services were held for J. J. Dais who died eight hours before his 190th birthday on Columbus Day. As a young man he operated a hotel at Stockton and later engaged in oyster planting before purchasing a farm. His widow and three children survive.
