Jr Dancing Class Hosts Grand Dance Night at Women’s Club
The Junior Dancing Class at the Women’s Club drew about 190 youths split into two October seventh classes. Seventh grade winners were Chuck Hipple Jenny Harper Ann Latimer and Robert Williams with chaperones Mr and Mrs Jack Knox and daughter Judy. Eighth grade winners were Susan Russell Betty Nunleavy James Beck and Kenny Murphy. Jim Hingely and Debbie Baer won best dancers on the floor. The Hawbaker family Ruth greeted guests. Next class scheduled for October 28 with a Hob o style costume emphasis and date change noted.

Two Hagerstown freshmen joined Bridgewater College’s cheer ranks after cheering at a Saturday game against Gallaudet College in Washington D C. Sherry Boublitz, daughter of Mr and Mrs J Louis Boublitz, 1106 Hamilton Blvd, was elected to the squad and Carol Gardner, daughter of Mr and Mrs Clarence Gardner, 216 E Irvin Ave, was named an alternate. They returned to the city for the weekend after the game.
