Dr. Wayne F Crider and his wife Mrs Iva Mae Crider of Hagerstown will be mourned in rites Wednesday afternoon They were prominent in business civic and church life owning properties and were involved in storage and transfer ventures Dr Crider a chiropractor practiced in Hagerstown for over 25 years led state and national chiropractic groups and helped advance physical therapy The Criders survived by three children and multiple sisters with ties to local organizations including Trinity Lutheran Church and the Red Cross chapter in Washington County

Charles Boyer 86 longtime Hagerstown figure dies leaving a legacy in vaudeville baseball and theater. He shaped semi pro and professional clubs in Charleston Savannah and Hagerstown and helped form the Sally League later the Blue Ridge League. He signed the first contract in organized ball with Ty Cobb as Sally League president and remained a devoted fan and founder of local baseball leagues. Surviving wife Hertie and children, grandchildren, and a sister are noted. The funeral is set at A. K. Coffman Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. F Berry Plummer and Rev. Gerald Kauffman officiating. burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
