Probe Opens Into Attempt To Flee Pen
An escape attempt by 27 of Texas' most dangerous inmates at Eastham farm led to two deaths and multiple injuries. Guards fired on fleeing convicts, killing Roy Thornton and Austin Ayers, and wounding Forrest Gibson and Clyde Thompson. Auto Crash Injures Three In City
