Prohibition raids seize mash and still in two operations
Prohibition agents Bowes and Poore conducted two afternoon raids seizing a 150 gallon still with a 200 gallon galvanized container and 2 quantities of mash and whiskey. About 1,300 gallons of mash were taken, and Clyde Cook, arrested previously by Deputy Marshall Lawrence Gill, will face a hearing before U.S. Commissioner D Angle Wolfinger on charges of manufacturing and possession of liquor.

Frederick Md Oct 4 Frank B Nichols 75 lived in a desolate Sugar Loaf Mountain area 12 miles south of here with his 90 year old brother who was away seeking farm work when Nichols accidentally shot himself yesterday a shotgun shell mangled an arm and the brother found the map inside the door. A physician arrived too late to save him.
