Churches Open With Sermons On Fellowship And Duty
Members of Potomac Lodge of Odd Fellows and Golden Rule Rebekah Lodge attended services at St. Pauls A B Church where Rev Dr F Berry Plummer preached on love as a dynamic force. At Grace Galt Brethren Church Rev Dr G J Rider was absent. Rev A R Ayres of Carlisle Pa delivered a forceful sermon on the way truth and light. Rev Dr G Carpenter of First Brethren Cluttet urged Stop Look and Listen with warning signals and danger to ignore signals. A lighted cross was placed in the church during services and Mildred Long led hymn My Sins Are Forgiven. Commussion for men marked Advent at St Johns Episcopal with a corporal communion led by Rev Dr Walter Byron Stet.
