Six Seized In Attempt At Robbery On Bowery
Six men described as master cracksmen were arrested early Sunday while attempting to loot the Jewelers Exchange on the Bowery New York. Police estimate 1.5 to 2 million dollars in jewelry lay in safes within the Exchange offices. Detectives call the burglary bid one of the citys most ambitious crimes. The six, named Cohn Ziegler Kobac Price Finkel and Taylor, all with metropolitan addresses, face burglary possession of burglars tools and Sullivan law violations.
