Birthday party honors five at Funkstown gathering

An unusual birthday party was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Victor Clark in Funkstown on Wednesday night to honor five individuals. The Euterpe Club of Waynesboro will perform at the Treble Clef Club meeting on Monday afternoon in the Presbyterian Educational Building auditorium starting at 3 30. An informal tea will follow. Play Features Monthly Meet at Howart Street School

A play titled A Radio Listening Group was featured at the Howart Street School P T A monthly meeting in the school auditorium on Thursday evening. The program opened with songs, then the group performed the play written by Miss Alice Sowers. The cast included Clyde Martin, Miss Zenimyer, and several parents and teachers. The business session noted funds from soap sales funded a concrete walk from Spruce Street to the side entrance, and the attendance banner went to the fourth grade.
