Harper's Ferry W Va Nov 24 Frank E Farrow 30 a signal lineman for Norfolk and Western Railroad was electrocuted when he touched high tension wires carrying 4400 volts on an overhead bridge where the Norfolk and Western crosses over Baltimore and Ohio tracks. Fellow workers and an ambulance crew at Charles Town General Hospital failed to revive him. Farrow a native of Trenton Va near Christiansburg is survived by his widow and three children.

Salvation Army Christmas kettle street collections begin in Hagerstown on Saturday November 27 announced by Capt William Southwood of local headquarters. Autoist Fined For Damaging Grass Plot East of Hagerstown
Elwood Ridgely of Williamsport Route 2 was fined $10 and costs yesterday by Magistrate Martin Bostetter for driving over the grass plot between the dual highway lanes east of Hagerstown. State Trooper R F McGuire presented photos as evidence under a new law allowing up to a $100 fine or three months in jail for such damage.
