Six Maine cotton mills announced wage cuts of unspecified percent, effective next Monday, citing poor business as the reason. Five mills are in Lewiston and one in Augusta.
Frank Conroe 31 year old Indian fell sixty feet at the municipal night plant yesterday. He died at 4:30 pm after sustaining two broken legs an arm fracture and internal injuries. Employed by J J Miller Company Baltimore Conroe a Seneca Indian came from Buffalo New York to work as a structural steel haver. He had been at the new light plant some time.
A workman lost footing while handling steel beams at the Crescent plant and fell to a lower beam. He died at Washington County Hospital at 4 30 PM. The body was taken to C M Suter Sons undertaking and remained unclaimed last night. Authorities search for relatives and continue no further investigation.
Robert Warner of Hagerstown describes years of ailments including headaches dizziness indigestion backache and sleeplessness. He credits Ten Herbs with restoring appetite relieving gas and bilious attacks and says his entire system is toned up. Wareham's City Pharmacy sells Ten Herbs in the area.

Harp farm of 65 acres sold to C. R. Paulsgrove. The Joseph Barkdoll property in Leitersburg sold to William C. Miller. Sales conducted by D. M. Ridenour.
