Wayne Franklin Snyder, 17, of Smithshire, arrested in Waynesboro on charges of theft and larceny, admitted cutting a bus terminal window screen and entering the building. He confessed to taking seven inches of small tools and other items, according to Chief J H Dodson.

Scott Deneen a 114 year old Watfordshare livestock dealer was injured yesterday when his car was struck by a R and O diesel locomotive at the Hancock crossing. He was taken to Memorial Hospital Cumberland with injuries not reported as serious. A witness said Deneen did not hear warning signals due to another freight passing moments earlier.
At a meeting of the Arte and Letters Club held at the Women’s Club members voted to become inactive for the duration. They agreed to pay annual dues and donate to the Red Cross and Community Chest. Mrs Joseph J D Mish, vice-president, conducted the session.
A small passenger plane was damaged slightly in a forced landing in a wheat field off Salem avenue early yesterday afternoon.
