One Hurt In Road Mishap In Hagerstown Area
Floyd Hixson aged 28 of Hancock was injured Saturday night when his car hit a concrete abutment on a bridge over Little Antietam Creek near Clearspring. He suffered a broken nose, scalp lacerations and abrasions and was taken to Washington County Hospital. The driver blamed glare from oncoming lights. he was uninjured. Seven cars were damaged in three crashes in Hagerstown over the weekend. A separate early Saturday incident in the first block of West Franklin Street left Bruce R. Kline fined $3 for not staying to the right of center. Other cars involved included drivers Donald F. Bennett and Edgar L. McClain. Sunday morning collisions involved Watson Craig and James Witherson. in another, James L. Krantz and Cecil Bittenger. George E. Smith reported striking a pedestrian at Washington and McPherson streets, who refused to identify himself.
