Westminster Maryland November 20 George Wilbur Shipley twenty four son of Sheriff Waller L Shipley of Carroll County was convicted on one larceny charge and sentenced to five years in the House of Correction. Shipley stole a new automobile from a Westminster dealer showroom on October 30 and the car was found abandoned in Aberdeen the next day. Chief Judge Neal Parke and Associate Judge William Henry Foraythe Jr sat on the bench. In April 1939 Shipley pleaded guilty to automobile theft and received a three year term in the House of Correction which was suspended by Judge William H Lawrence pending good behavior.
A Denver motorist in a minor traffic collision dislocated his left shoulder after gesturing vigorously during an argument. The incident occurred on November 20.
