Survivor of Vestris Held in Embezzlement Case
Cumberland Md November 20 Sheriff William R Harvey heads to Albany by way of Annapolis to seek extradition of Overton Maxey on embezzlement charges connected to nearly seven thousand dollars from Continental Finance Corporation of Richmond. Maxey was arrested in New York while ill in Bellevue Hospital after adrift in a lifeboat during the Vestris escape attempt. He was arraigned yesterday and held in seven thousand dollars bond.
