Associated Press report from Saigon notes U.S. Army and Marine artillery firing into the demilitarized zone for the second time in three days after North Vietnamese gunners reportedly hit a South Vietnamese post inside the DMZ. Early reports placed the gunfire locations in question. A U.S. spokesman said 10 mortar rounds hit an artillery position.
A federal grand jury in Briatmore indicts Cornell student Alan St. Plofsky of White Plains New Jersey for burning a draft card during Oct. 9 antiwar protests outside the U.S. District Court. NEW YORK AP The stock market continued to rally early today in active trading with advances about two to one over declines. Police paratroopers and marines deployed November 3 to root out survivors.
