Auto Load Of Moonshine Arrest Near Martinsburg
A five-passenger car halted by Officer Barbour in Martinsburg carried about 100 gallons of white moonshine liquor tested at 96 proof. Driver Paul Dietz, Roanoke resident, was jailed without bail on transporting liquor through the state. A second man fled. cargo aimed for Hagerstown or Pennsylvania. The vehicle, linked to a Roanoke moonshine train, concealed 13 five-gallon and about 40 one-gallon cans in the rear.
