Knox City Missouri November 8 a crossing accident killed several youths and a woman as a northbound car skidded onto the Quincy Omaha and City tracks and was struck by a westbound passenger train. Victims include John White 15 Marjorie White 13 James White 10 Mary Jane Turpin 19 LeRoy McEvoy 15 and Mrs Claude Miner who witnessed the crash.

Bechtel Held For Grand Jury Action
Bradford T Bechtel of Baltimore was held on 1500 bond for court action by Magistrate C Edward Heard on charges of obtaining money by misrepresentation and defrauding a local hotel of a board and room bill. Bechtel allegedly sold worthless stock to Dellinger to gain a rebuilding contract for the Always destroyed by fire months ago. Bechtel was arrested in Baltimore.

Woman Held in Shooting in Arkansas Governor's Relative Implicated
Mrs. R. C. Kelly aged 66, mother of Georgia Governor E. D. Rivers, faced an assault with intent to kill charge after allegedly shooting J. R. Page in Mineral Springs. Page, an alderman and former railroad foreman, was in serious condition. Rivers sent his brother J. S. Rivers to assist. Kelly posted $500 bond, declined comment. Page also did not discuss the case. Veterans aid program and post service at Maryland church
They answered the call of the unfortunate by caring for widows and orphans of veterans and running a child welfare program in Maryland. The Legion declared it stood 100 percent against war unless unavoidable. Three Dead In Rail Accident At Penacook
A mother and her two children Mary eight and Henry seven were struck by a Boston Montreal express in Penacook New Hampshire while crossing a railroad bridge. The engineer said he blew the whistle but the victims stayed on the cat walk between the rails.
