Three persons were attacked by an unidentified man in the gan block of South Potomac street last night and escaped in an automobile with a Liberty street man Oscar N Moser 900 block of South Potomac street. Moser said the intruder entered his home while he was at a nearby store and struck him as he reached the top of the stairs. Neighbors James Sease pursued the car but the assailant jumped out and attacked them before fleeing. Lex Cook, new coach of the Dallas Texans in the U S Hockey League, previously coached the Kirkland Lake Blue Devils in 1940 when they won the Allen Cup.

County official urges school funding reform in Hagerstown

One Of Four In Jail Break Held In Maryland
One of four prisoners who fled from the Charles county jail Tuesday night was captured in the District of Columbia. Pearl Simpson, 50, a Doncaster named suspect, was seized by Washington police and to be returned to Charles county. Sheriff Elmer M.
