ANNAPOLIS AP Trespassing charges may be dropped against 227 Bowie State College students arrested during a sit-in protest at the State House in Prince George's County. Anne Arundel County State's Attorney Julian Stevens said he is seriously contemplating the move after discussions with Gov. Marvin Mandel who is not opposed. The case stems from an April 4 1988 protest at the predominantly Negro college that led to arrests when students refused to leave the State House. The matter has not gone to trial and there is concern the students could receive criminal records.
