Wheat Association Plans Eight Evening Meetings
The County Wheat Production Control Association will hold eight evening meetings during the week of November 6 to sign wheat allotment contracts. Meetings are at 4:30 each night at Boonsboro and Clearspring High Schools, Lappans Parish House, Smithaburg, Beaver Creek Community, and Kampsport High School, with more sites listed. Contracts provide 20 cents per bushel as the first payment, about $26,000 for the county, and a late spring payment of seven cents per bushel. farmers must reduce fall acreage by 16 percent from 1939 to 1932 levels.

Baltimore November 3 Henry F Browning president of the Baltimore Federation of Labor and a member of the city NRA Compliance Board collapsed in the federation office and was unconscious at Union Memorial Hospital. Fleet To Gather In The Atlantic
Washington reports the United States fleet will concentrate in the Atlantic next spring for the first time in nearly four years. President Roosevelt authorized the first line of defense to move from the Pacific to the east coast after winter, then return to the Pacific in fall. The fleet, including battle and scouting forces, has been based in the Pacific since spring 1932. Only 39.5 percent of Ohio farms remain on unsurfaced roads, below the national average of 102 percent.

Senator Kendrick Dies After Illness in Wyoming
John B. Kendrick, senior U S Senator from Wyoming, died in a Sheridan hospital on Friday night at age 76. The Democrat, famed cowboy and rancher, had just returned from Washington where he pushed the Carp er Alcova reclamation project. Initial diagnosis of cerebral hemorrhage was revised to uremic coma. Kendrick, a popular figure in Wyoming, leaves a long political and business legacy.

Divorce Granted Dr Peter Heimer in Frederick Maryland
Dr Peter E Heimer pastor of Burkittsvile Reformed church was granted an absolute divorce from wife Elizabeth A Helmer by the Circuit Court on grounds of desertion. Three years earlier a legal separation had been granted after open court testimony. Mrs Heimer had charged cruelty. the charge was dismissed and Heimer won a separation on cruelty claim.
