A hotel in the fashionable summer colony was gutted by flames. A guest suffered severe burns on face arms and shoulders after opening a door to a wall of fire. She escaped to the porch roof then ground and is under care nearby. The Colonial Court property, built in 1908 by the Buffingtons, was valued at 18000 with furniture losses boosting the total.
