Joseph A. Rose Jr a fired attorney for Associated Milk Producers Inc says the dairy co op masked illegal corporate campaign contributions as legal fees. Investigators from the Senate Watergate committee the FBI IRS and GAO seek how much of a 384000 legal bill funded political giving who received it and if funds served other purposes. Rose testified that Oklahoma City lawyer Stuart Trussell routed money to chief staffer Robert Lilly and IRS tracing linked some funds to Lilly. Russell earned the 384000 in a 10 month span ending April 30 1972 and some sums may have gone to legitimate legal costs. Federal law bans corporate political donations.
