Rites Held for S. W. Fahrney Retired Teacher 69
Walter S. Fahrney a retired Washington County teacher died suddenly at his home in Miss Phyllis A. Fahrney era died at Rest Haven. Horst Rest Haven founder dies at 85
Aaron Martis Horst founder and president of Rest Haven Cemetery and Funeral Home died Monday at his home on Hamilton Boulevard after an illness. He served with National City Bank New York for 13 years and was a Bridgewater College trustee for 40 years. He founded Floral Gardens Cemetery in High Point North Carolina and sat on the Victor Products board for four years. A past director of the National Association of Cemeteries and trustee of Fahrney Reedy Home, he belonged to the Church of the Brethren and led its Sunday school for 19 years. He is survived by his wife Edna Jones Horst, daughter Catherine PampLin of Silver Spring sons William A Horst and Paul Derat of Hagerstown six grandchildren and four nephews. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery and memorials to the Church of the Brethren.
