Fifty German prisoners of war have reached the former CCC camp in Green Ridge State Forest as a vanguard for a larger group to harvest fruit and cut wood pulp. They work on bar racks and sanitation projects while awaiting about 150 more prisoners in two weeks, with Italian captives also to be housed there under heavy guard.
