An alleged hit and run on Middleburg pike last night around 7 30 left Roy Red Burger 36 of Mason Dixon seriously injured. He was rushed by ambulance to Washington County Hospital with a broken leg and severe facial and head cuts. Burger was walking from Hagerstown toward Middleburg when the crash occurred. Sheriff's officers are investigating.

Blunt Held In Dope Case At Charles Town Race Track
Horace Blunt, a resident formerly of Charles Town, was arrested Friday at the Charles Town race track on a mari juana cigarette sale charge. He was held on $5,000 bond for the Federal Grand Jury after hearing before U S Commissioner H Marshall Homer in Martinsburg. An informant funded by a $50 reward led to Blunt’s arrest.
