The action targets dry cereals canned vegetables and soups pickles vinegar olives canned meats processed fish oleomargarine cookies crackers frozen foods jams and jellies and canned fruits. Increases run about 0.8 cent per item with some larger items seeing two cents or more. Margins may rise further around July 1 if current margins are insufficient.
