The Washington school Parent Teacher Association schedules a 7 p m softball game to begin a varied meeting, with an exhibition of student work in classrooms and musical performances by the elementary glee club the seventh and eighth grade choruses and the junior high girls glee club. A business session will elect and install officers. If rain, the game is cancelled and the meeting starts at 8 p m.

Local Girls Are WAC Enlistees During WAC Week
Five local girls enlist in the Women's Army Corps during WAC Week observed in theatres. Three join Army Air Forces and two enter motor transport. A WAC fashion show at the Maryland Theatre showcased fifteen uniforms with narration by officers and recruits.

County Students Enter Honor Group at Shepherd College
Harold McGraw, Anna Roulette, and Hileen Whisner of Sharpsburg joined seven initiates into Kappa Delta Pi at Shepherd College on May 13. McGraw, a math and chemistry major, will graduate May 31.
