Damages Sought After Hancock Truck Collision

Otis W. Stanley of Hancock sues James A. MacCumbee and Lester F. Joy for 1500 dollars over a May collision on Route 40 west of Hancock. In Brescia Italy a Ferrari driven by Marquis Alfonso de Portago and his co driver Edmund Nelson plowed into spectators at 150 mph after a tire blew out. Ten bystanders died instantly and two children were crushed by a concrete milestone. The race claimed a total of 13 victims that day and raised calls to cancel the Mille Miglia.

Four Die As Bus Hits Rear Of Station Wagon

A Pittsburgh area crash left four dead when a bus struck a station wagon carrying a Blairsville family from Cleveland to Pittsburgh. Passengers reported the car swerved left as the bus began to pass.
