A reception follows Thursday at 7 30 oclock. The three story limestone addition features 26 class rooms a large recreational room basketball court stage an up to date kitchen and scout rooms. Construction was by N S Earley with trustees in charge.

Military funeral for state trooper to be held
In Chambersburg Pennsylvania on May 13 a military funeral is planned for Sergeant Timothy C. McCarthy of the State Police who was fatally shot while attempting to arrest a suspect at Crystal Spring yesterday. The incident occurred during an arrest operation leading to the trooper’s death. The ceremony will honor his service and mark the end of a life spent in law enforcement.
