Interfaith Award Applications Open at University of Maryland

The University of Maryland invites nominations for the Rabbi Edward H. Israel Interfaith Scholarship. Now in its seventh year, the award honors a student who fosters interfaith relations on campus. Artist defrauds six Franklin County banks in wide spoof

A man about 40, five foot six, 150 pounds, allegedly posing as OG Gleason of Waynesboro Route 4, swindled six local banks including Waynesboro and Columbia by cashing fraudulent checks after initial deposits. He traveled with three accomplices in a station wagon and used multiple aliases, netting about $1 246 this week before FBI pursuit.
