Former chorus girl indicted in Catskill torture case
Marion Roberts, once a Broadway chorus girl, was indicted by Greene County grand jury for second degree assault in the torture of truckman Grover Parks by diamonds and associates. Parks testified his feet were burned after being dragged from a truck on a mountain highway. Roberts, a frequent visitor at Diamond’s Acra home, was associated with the group when they captured Diamond in a New York hotel last summer. Indictments expand the racketeering probe surrounding Diamond and his confederates.
