Springfield Massachusetts May 9 Rev Dr William Frazier McDowell bishop of the Washington area urged today at the Methodist General Conference creating a religious and educational center for world wide Methodism. He urged a first step of 10000000 for the American University in Washington to anchor the center and a grand cathedral to rival the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral then under construction in Washington at a cost of 10000000.

City seeks more hotel rooms in Hagerstown
A city survey by the Hackenberg system, presented by A J Aderton to the Chamber of Commerce and Inter-Club Council, shows a real need for additional hotel facilities in Hagerstown. Tramp Linked to Prisoner Case Takes Harmless Note
The probe found the Western prison recapper was not a danger, while Mrs. Walter Grove remained in critical condition after an automobile crash near Essex N Y. Her skull was fractured and multiple bones were broken, with her husband killed and two other occupants badly hurt. Mrs. Grove was moved to Plattsburg hospital unconscious. Her sisters Mrs Adrian Onderdonk and Mrs Henry Hoffmeier traveled to join the family yesterday.

Promises to Leave Hagerstown Man Charged with Vagrancy

Half Million Trees Planted at State Forest Nurseries
More than 500000 trees spanning 27 species were planted over three weeks at College Park state forest nurseries.
