Hit By Baseball Fatally Injures Leo Colgan
Frostburg Massachusetts May 9 Leo Colgan 23 of Elkhart died at Miners Hospital after being struck in the head by a batted baseball. He walked a mile home after the incident and collapsed. Doctors said a ruptured blood vessel in the brain caused the death. Stolen Auto Recovered After Robbery Night
The car of George Goetz of Washington DC used by two holdup men who assaulted Clyde Renner, son of Deputy Sheriff Richard Renner, was found abandoned on Town Hill near Hancock by State Officer R C May. The suspects, known to police, forced George Cline to drive them to Gateway Inn after the attack, then fled west. Another motorist, Lyman Hostetter, chased the Cline car. a struggle over a revolver occurred, and the youths forced Cline to continue toward the Inn seven miles west of Hagerstown. Arrests expected in Cumberland area based on communications.
