Mrs Rath Miller of Rt 8 Smithsburg described a Sunday morning storm that toppled a maple tree about 1 inch in diameter and blew telephone wires near Smithshore. She noted an east wind and a black tunnel shaped cloud with roaring winds accompanying the weather.
