Ploughs Into Ridge Near Salt Lake City
A United Airlines sleeper transport crashed into a storm ridge near Salt Lake City airport killing 14 passengers and a crew of three. One man survived briefly. an infant and others died instantly as wreckage scattered across the ridge about four and a half miles from the airport. Police To Aid Clean Up Drive In City
Captain William H. Peters ordered city police to cooperate with the Junior Chamber of Commerce in a city wide clean up campaign next week.
