Defendant Wins Damages Suit Over Kaytor Property Sale
Judge Waganian ruled in favor of Milton Thomas against Harry and Tula Kaytor in a damages suit for 3500 claiming commission on a property sold to J. Vincent Jameson. Auctioneer Held On Serious Crime
HW Clay Baker a 50 year old former auctioneer of Smithaburg district was arrested on charges of carnal knowledge of Naomi Muth aged 13 near Waynesboro Pa. Constable Claude Fermison detained him and he awaits a hearing in Washington County Jail. William Muth filed the warrant accusing Baker of the crime during January while Naomi was visiting near Smithstueg. Justice John Ferguson issued the warrant. Baker is married and well known locally. He offered no statement upon arrest.

Plan To Raise Japanese Fund At St Johns Service
A Sunday at St Johns Episcopal Church features an offering called Gold Silver Coin and Jewel for the Japan reconstruction fund. The women’s auxiliary collected rings brooches and other items to be presented on the altar and later sent to diocesan collections in Maryland. A sale and exhibit of the collection will run at 409 North Charles Street during Easter week 1946. A second note from tomorrow night’s service states St John’s Parish funds for rebuilding St Luke’s Hospital in Tokio will be announced.
