Slot machines have tidy sum sought in injunction
Attorneys for the Hagerstown Country Club announced this morning that injunction proceedings will be started today to cover $600 in cash contained in seven slot machines seized last week in the club house. Officials say part of the money was paper and could not be used to gamble. A $200 final was imposed Saturday. In a separate note, income tax collections on Friday totaled $15,700,156, bringing March's total to $72,504,506, up $6,411,065 from last March.

Family of 7 Escapes Fire in Narrow House Blaze
