The condition of Geo A. Davis, diagnosed with erysipelas of the head in Washington, was reported last night as rather improved but still serious. His sister and brother, traveling from this area, were unable to see him due to his critical state.
Dark Winchester bird named Helen Sparrow netted after a wild flight by Deputy Barber and Lieut. Alexander. It was caged to await officers from its feathery fireside and fled last week. The bird caused a rooftop chase on Jonathan Street and West Church Street before officers captured it.
