Man Found Dead in Needmore Area Under Investigation
Pennsylvania State Police investigated the death of Gilbert A. Bishop 53 whose body was found along a road to Needmore in an isolated countryside area. A medical examiner suggested heart failure but police planned further checks for possible foul play. Brother Frank E. Driver Held After Accident In Chambersburg Incident
Margaret Ann Snoke eight-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs Edgar Snoke of Chambersburg Route 2 was seriously injured Sunday evening when struck by a truck on the Molly Pitcher Highway. Chester A Boward operator of the truck owned by Charles Boward of Hagerstown was arrested on a charge of assault and battery by automobile and held on five hundred dollar bond pending her outcome. The girl crossed toward a school house with her teacher Mrs Pearl Kobler and her sister Dorothy Stoke eighteen when she started to cross the road and was struck. She was hurled about 65 feet and taken to Chambersburg Hospital with head injuries and brush burns and was reported in semi conscious condition.
