Granville Myers 16 clearspring Route 1 was seriously hurt yesterday afternoon about 4 30 when knocked from his bicycle on Route 4 near Rows Park by a automobile. Taken to Washington County Hospital in the Goodwill ambulance he suffered a mangled left arm a torn scalp and shock. Hospital attendants said his condition last night was fair. Sheriff's officers said Myers was riding home from school when his bicycle collided with an automobile driven by Frank C Zimmermann Big Spring Route 1.

Must Register to Vote in Primaries May First

Local residents not on Washington county books must register this month to vote in the primaries on May 1. The registration office in the basement of the Courthouse will be open March 24 28 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Two Injured In Route 11 Auto Crash Near Rest Haven

Deputy L R Isanogle said two people were injured in a crash on Route 11 near Rest Haven cemetery. Robert H Shelly 27 Greencastle Route 2 rear collided with Paul Bittner 38 Hagerstown Route I causing Shelly to suffer a head injury and be taken to Washington County Hospital. Bittner was struck by his moving car but not seriously hurt and Shelly faces reckless driving charge.

Alleged to have broken into the home of next door neighbor James Edward S Burdett 24 300 block East Franklin street was arrested yesterday by Detective Wayne Sellman on a warrant charging burglary Burdett confessed admitting taking some women's clothing He entered Edgar R Hoover's home through an attic opening.
