Barber Cleared in Frame Up Assault Case
Hiram Mowen a barber was dismissed yesterday by Justice Bitner in police court on a charge of assaulting Lucy Flincham a 15 year old bride. The girl testified to an alleged assault after visiting his shop with two other girls who stayed overnight. The police said the girls admitted they did not spend the night at the barber shop and he denied the charges calling it a frame up. Justice Bitner exonerated Mowen and scolded parents for allowing their children to roam at night. The Filudium girl has since married Joseph Knox.
