Hagerstown High School presents a March music frolic directed by Prof. Buys and conductor Cassel. The Boys and Girls Glee Clubs perform as civil war era slaves, negro spirituals, Southern folk numbers, solos, and group songs with an Oriental and Spanish theme.

Fire damaged the apartment building of Dr A P Stauffer at 32 South Potomac street last night after 5 pm. The kitchen on the third floor started the blaze and was confined to one room but water damaged lower floors and office equipment. Origin undetermined. Damage estimated up to 3000 dollars. The fire drew over 1000 spectators from nearby theatres as Pioneer Hook and Ladder Company rushed to the scene.

Also Harry Shatter and Ed Munson noted. Smithsburg reports zero weather while other county points show two and four above.
St Petersburg March 7 Manager McKechnie of the Boston Braves altered the lineup for today’s exhibition with the New York Yankees. The slippery practice diamond baselines raised concerns for Rabbit Maranville as fans complained about the mid game shift granting him a limited three innings.

He told Gabby Street that the Athletics could not repeat the performance and he was nominated to start today’s exhibition game between the world champions and the National League champions in Miami.
Joan Kelly of near Shippensburg confessed yesterday to Cumberland County authorities that he shot and killed Charles Yeingst after Yeingst fired at his dog related to a prior incident. Kelly, 60, reportedly turned and killed his neighbor when Yeingst returned fire. He is held on murder charges.
