Four former employees filed suit in the Court of Common Pleas seeking 50 000 on grounds the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co failed to pay layoff allowances. Hancock Men Fined For Deer Hunting

Two Hancock area men were fined 125 dollars plus costs each for hunting deer at night with a spotlight. A magistrate in Hancock levied 138 dollars on Robert McCnuaker and Rance Trail for the offense near the Wherta Orchard west of Mancock. They were picked up by a game warden.
