Draw Sales Tax Bill For Garrett County
Annapolis Md March 1 Senator Fraley R Garrett today introduced a bill to levy a retail sales tax of two percent in Garrett county. The tax would not affect sales of five cents or less but from six cents to fifty one cent would be charged one cent and from fifty one cents to one dollar inclusive two cents and on each fifty cents of fraction over a dollar one cent. The law would be administered by the Garrett county tax board composed of County Commissioners. They may employ workers and inspectors for enforcing provision of the law.
