Orphans Picnic Hosted by Hagers Town Kiwanis Club
The Kiwanis Club of Hagers Town held its first meeting of the year as it hosted an annual picnic for 33 orphans from the Orphans Home at Rows Park. Activities included games, swimming, a Kiwanis baseball team, and fireworks. A YMCA cafeteria dinner preceded a board meeting that authorized a $400 contribution to the Boy Scout organization. Harry Yessler of York attended as a guest.
