Hunters Can Get Licenses This Friday

Local hunters may obtain licenses this Friday with fees of 2 dollars for deer by gun and 3 dollars for bow and arrow. Squirrel and turkey seasons run October 5 through 31, with deer seasons opening November 1 and ending November 12. Later, December 3 to 10 allows deer by gun or bow and arrow with a deer stamp. Rabbit, quail, pheasant run November 15 to January 31, otter and mink December 15 to March 15, raccoon and possum September 105 to January 31. No closed season on skunk, woodchuck, dred or gray fox. no bag limits on these predators. Licensees should consult Maryland's Hunter's Guide 1880.

Milton Samuel Ditlow, aged 83, died last night at his home on West Potomac Street. He was a member of the Lions Lodge and Red Men. Funeral services are Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Leaf Funeral Chapel Williamsport with Rev. William Huddle officiating. interment River View Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. He is survived by one son Milton S Ditlow of Washington, a daughter Miss Mary Ditlow, Hagistown, and four grandchildren.
